\u201cFreight Matching for Forwarders is a crucial step for the industry. While the way we transport freight from A to B has evolved significantly over the years, some fundamental principles have remained the same: Freight is passed from shippers to one or more forwarders and carriers. However, this is often a manual process fraught with numerous challenges,\u201d says Gruziana Hoxha, Executive Director for Carrier Management at Transporeon.<\/p>\n

In today\u2019s dynamic market, forwarders are constantly searching for transport capacities. This often forces them to look beyond their familiar network. The assignment of contracts to subcontractors has always played a critical role in supply chains. Even large forwarders subcontract, as not every load can be perfectly managed within their own network. Nevertheless, resorting to subcontractors still carries a negative connotation and, not least, some risks.<\/p>\n
