The jury was convinced by the unique design concept of the ERE 225i, which combines agility, safety, comfort, and sustainability in an unparalleled way thanks to a fully integrated, compact lithium-ion battery. This is the second award of its kind for the ERE 225i in a very short time. The forklift had already won the iF Design Award in May.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Essen) By integrating its lithium-ion battery, the ERE 225i is 270 mm shorter than its predecessor model. This significantly reduces the vehicle&#8217;s turning radius. Drivers benefit from improved maneuverability, enabling safe transport operations in tight spaces. Fixed side protection walls provide optimal protection while ensuring high working comfort.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The goal of our product design is to make the key attributes of the vehicles immediately recognizable and understandable. Compactness, durability, safety, and agility are clearly visualized as central performance promises, showing through the design what Jungheinrich customers can rely on with this vehicle,&#8221; says Andreas Knie, Industrial Design at Jungheinrich. &#8220;We are very pleased to have won this prestigious design award with the ERE 225i. It is not only an outstanding recognition for us as a design team but also appreciation and motivation for everyone who contributed to the development of the product.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The ERE 225i is by far the most compact vehicle in its class. As part of the Jungheinrich POWERLiNE, the ERE 225i is completely CO2-neutral by the time it is delivered to the customer, enabling particularly sustainable intralogistics in the warehouse.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1955, the Red Dot Award: Product Design has annually honored the world&#8217;s best and most innovative products in over 50 categories.
