Operators, trucking companies, and freight forwarders can register for the portal and benefit from the numerous advantages of the digital solution. The ICB connects available capacities with transport demands in the market, thus creating better utilization.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Frankfurt) With the introduction of the Intermodal Capacity Broker, entering combined transport is significantly simplified, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises. The combined transport entry portal provides operators and trucking companies on the first and last mile with an additional marketing channel for available capacities. Based on this, and according to the respective transport requirements, various route options including price, distance, and CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions are suggested to the freight forwarder, even for small quantities or non-craneable equipment. Booking intermodal transports is as easy as online shopping.<\/p>\n<p>The program of the ICB product launch featured several highlights. The first booking was conducted live, allowing all participants to gain a good first insight into the portal and its functions. In addition to CEO Dominik F\u00fcrste and the Rail-Flow team, notable stakeholders also spoke. Steffen Bilger, former logistics officer of the federal government and parliamentary state secretary, delivered a greeting, and Prof. Dr. Dirk Engelhardt (BGL), Jens Pawlowski (BGL), and Martin Roggermann (Allianz pro Schiene) enriched the event with insights into common access barriers for small transport companies in combined transport.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Overcoming entry barriers through the combined transport entry portal<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>They clearly demonstrated how entry barriers can be overcome with the help of a combined transport entry portal like the ICB. Almost 200 participants from across Europe underscored the interest and need for a neutral solution for all market participants.
