Fiege acts as an investor and strategic partner of the Berlin-based company, which has risen to become the leading digital freight forwarder in Europe since its founding in 2015. It is more than just a classic financial investment.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Greven\/Berlin) &#8220;We have known the sennder founding team around David Nothacker, Nicolaus Schefenacker, and Julius K\u00f6hler for several years. Our involvement with sennder is another important building block of our digitalization strategy and a valuable addition to our transport offering,&#8221; explains Felix Fiege, who leads the family business from M\u00fcnsterland in the fifth generation together with his cousin Jens Fiege. The goal is for Fiege and sennder to &#8220;support each other&#8221; to further enhance operational efficiency, says Felix Fiege. &#8220;That\u2019s why it\u2019s about more than just a classic financial investment; it\u2019s primarily about a strategic partnership from which both sides will benefit. In the end, our customers will benefit the most \u2013 and that is always the decisive approach for our entrepreneurial actions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Increasing demand for digital solutions<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>David Nothacker, co-founder and managing director of sennder: &#8220;Our cooperation highlights the increasing demand for digital logistics solutions. I look forward to working closely with the Fiege team. Together, we will introduce innovative solutions for the logistics industry while also reinforcing our respective growth trajectories.&#8221; Today, sennder employs over 900 staff, manages a fleet of around 12,500 trucks across Europe, and is now valued at over one billion US dollars.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Security for customers in the transport sector<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>&#8220;Through the partnership with sennder, we are providing our customers with additional security in the transport sector,&#8221; says Hannes Streeck, head of the consumer goods business unit at Fiege. &#8220;Because through sennder, we can offer our customers another sustainable transport option.
