Hapag-Lloyd opens its own office in Morocco today. With this additional presence in the country, the company continues its growth ambitions in the most attractive markets of North Africa.<\/strong> The shipping company operates in Morocco with three offices in Casablanca, Tangier, and Agadir, and 47 employees will support customers on-site.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Hamburg\/Casablanca) Morocco is an important exporter of refrigerated goods such as fruits and vegetables and therefore a key part of the development strategy in the reefer segment. Morocco also exports minerals, chemicals, textiles, and other food products, particularly to European countries. The main imports are electronics, spare parts, and food products.<\/p>\n

Morocco is perfectly connected to the global Hapag-Lloyd network via the Tanger-Med port, which is of strategic importance to the entire logistics industry. Last year, Hapag-Lloyd acquired a 10 percent stake in Container Terminal 3 (TC3) at the Tanger-Med port.<\/p>\n

Morocco’s Economy Grows Steadily<\/strong><\/h5>\n

“The Moroccan economy has grown steadily in recent years. Many Moroccan customers have already experienced the services of Hapag-Lloyd. With the opening of our new representation in Morocco, we want to better meet our customers’ demands for proximity and service quality,” says Juan Pablo Richards, Senior Managing Director Region South Europe of Hapag-Lloyd.<\/p>\n

Hapag-Lloyd is represented in Morocco with three offices; the headquarters in Casablanca and two satellite offices in Tangier and Agadir. 47 shipping experts support customers throughout the country from there.<\/p>\n
