Angela Titzrath, CEO of HHLA, was also elected as the deputy chair of the foundation&#8217;s board.<\/p>\n<p>(Hamburg) &#8220;We want to be part of this foundation from the very beginning to contribute our expertise, but also to learn from the experiences of others,&#8221; explained Angela Titzrath on the occasion of the foundation&#8217;s establishment. The HHLA CEO was elected as the deputy chair of the foundation&#8217;s board during an online election. &#8220;I am pleased with the trust of the foundation&#8217;s members.&#8221; HHLA is already intensively exploring the possibilities that green hydrogen offers for achieving its climate goals. &#8220;We want to contribute with our activities to the development of the Port of Hamburg into a hub for hydrogen distribution,&#8221; said Titzrath.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Green hydrogen will be funded with 20 to 30 billion euros<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, called the establishment of the foundation a &#8220;truly historic project&#8221; and added that &#8220;Germany must become a global leader in hydrogen technology if we want to achieve our sustainability goals.&#8221; The development of green hydrogen is to be supported in Germany with a total volume of 20 to 30 billion euros.<\/p>\n<p>The H2Global Foundation brings together numerous stakeholders who wish to contribute to the economic market launch of green hydrogen and its derivatives.
