Panattoni hands over a multifunctional production and logistics property in Ladenburg near Mannheim to neska.
The HGK subsidiary neska occupies three halls with 54,000 sqm of logistics space. This completes the largest revitalization project in the Rhine-Neckar region after about two years.<\/p>\n

(Hamburg\/Ladenburg) Panattoni, the leading project developer for industrial and logistics properties in Europe, officially handed over the Panattoni Park Mannheim East in Ladenburg, Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg, to neska Schifffahrts- und Speditionskontor Gesellschaft, a company of the HGK Logistics and Intermodal division of the HGK Group, on July 30, 2021. The ceremonial handover was attended by representatives from neska and Panattoni, as well as the deputy mayor of the city of Ladenburg and local press.<\/p>\n

The neska location in Mannheim occupies three halls with a logistics area of approximately 54,000 sqm, along with about 3,000 sqm of office space and 152 car and 24 truck parking spaces on the outdoor areas. The clear height is 10 m UKB. A modern shelving warehouse will be integrated into the property, which will be operated with semi-automated narrow aisle stackers.<\/p>\n

In developing the Panattoni Park, the developer, together with the HGK Group, placed great emphasis on sustainability. All three halls were built according to the DGNB Gold standard \u2013 a platinum certification has been applied for. In addition, neska, in collaboration with the HGK sister company RheinEnergie, will equip approximately 75% of the roof area with a photovoltaic system by 2022. For controlled drainage of surface water, Panattoni constructed a direct discharge to the Neckar, equipped with special filtration systems, approximately 700 m long, and also created a habitat for local lizard species covering around 3,000 sqm.<\/p>\n

The facility was specifically implemented according to the regulations for handling water-hazardous substances of hazard class 3, allowing neska to expand its business for the storage and distribution of chemical products, such as paints or disinfectants. Additional cooling units also enable the storage of sensitive medical technology products.<\/p>\n

Providing high-quality logistics services<\/strong><\/h5>\n

\u201cWe are pleased to be able to move into the new property just one year after the joint groundbreaking, despite the challenges posed by the Corona pandemic. In the past, we have trusted Panattoni, and this time the collaboration worked exemplary,\u201d said neska Managing Director Markus Kr\u00e4mer on the occasion of the handover.<\/p>\n

Alen Petrusic, head of the neska branch in Mannheim, commented on the handover: \u201cThe Rhine-Neckar region is strongly characterized by companies in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and medical technology. With this facility, we can now provide high-quality logistics services very flexibly.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the realization of the logistics center in Ladenburg, Panattoni successfully completes the currently largest revitalization project on an established industrial site in the Rhine-Neckar region. Until 2016, the approximately 100,000 sqm area was used by a manufacturer of cleaning products and household goods. In collaboration with the municipality and local industrial companies, the Panattoni Park Mannheim East was developed. The revitalization phase of the demanding area lasted nearly two years. The demolition phase alone took 120 days. One of the largest excavators in Germany was used for the demolition of the existing buildings, which were up to 30 m high. The construction phase of the three newly built industrial halls took place from 2020 to 2021.<\/p>\n

Property handed over on time<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The marketing at the location in Ladenburg was handled by the brokerage firm Colliers International. The tenant neska was advised by the company Baum\u00fcller & Co. during the rental process.<\/p>\n
