The integration of Movianto into the French Walden Group is complete. St\u00e9phane Baudry, owner and chairman of Walden, hands over the leadership of the Movianto Group to Thomas Creuzberger. Under his leadership, Movianto is expected to develop new services, expand its operations to additional countries, and grow profitably.<\/p>\n

(Paris\/Neunkirchen) Thomas Creuzberger (59) has been appointed the new CEO of the Movianto Group. The company has been part of the French Walden Group since June 2020 and is the European market leader in service logistics for healthcare. “A year after we acquired Movianto from the US company Owens & Minor, my task of integrating Movianto into the Walden Group is complete,” says St\u00e9phane Baudry. The owner and chairman of Walden had temporarily also taken on the role of CEO of Movianto since the acquisition. “Now is the right time to hand over the leadership to long-standing managers of the company. Our expectation of them is that Movianto develops new services, expands its operations to more European countries, and grows profitably.”<\/p>\n

Extensive Experience in Healthcare Logistics<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Creuzberger has been working in logistics for pharmaceuticals and healthcare for over 30 years. He has been with Movianto since the company’s inception, which was founded in 1996 and adopted its current name in 2006. Creuzberger studied logistics and business administration at the College of the US Department of Defense in Virginia and at the Institute of Technology of the Air University in Ohio. Before joining Movianto, he gained experience in logistics services for the US Department of Defense in Europe and the Middle East, as well as for wholesalers Sanacorp, Celesio, and Sanalog. Most recently, he served as Vice President Europe North at Movianto, where he was responsible for Germany and other countries.
Movianto has already transferred Creuzberger’s responsibilities as Managing Director for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH region) to Dennis Spamer (38) earlier this year. Spamer has over 17 years of experience in transport and logistics in Germany and Switzerland and has been working as Commercial Director Europe North for Movianto since 2015.<\/p>\n

Focus on the Healthcare Sector<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The Movianto Group operates its own logistics centers in eleven European countries, employs around 3,600 staff, and achieved a revenue of over 485 million euros in 2020. Like all companies in the Walden Group, Movianto focuses on services for the healthcare sector such as storage and transportation, but has also developed digital solutions, takes on manufacturing tasks, and handles the serialization of pharmaceuticals. In the Netherlands, for example, the company is responsible for the entire logistics of all Covid-19 vaccines in the country, from central storage to nationwide distribution. Other countries have also entrusted Movianto with tasks in Corona logistics. “Our goal is to make Movianto and Walden the first patient-centered logistics provider that organizes seamless connections between manufacturers and patients and offers a one-stop-shop for logistics in the healthcare sector,” explains Creuzberger.
The Walden Group organizes the pickup and delivery of pharmaceutical and medical products in 180 countries. In Europe, 50 own logistics centers provide 625,000 square meters of storage space. With around 5,000 employees, a revenue of 1.7 billion euros was generated in 2020.
