The Scania R 410 has been awarded the title of ‘Green Truck 2021’ as the most economical and sustainable truck. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Scania Germany has won the prestigious Green Truck Award. The facts speak for themselves. With the lowest average fuel consumption of 23.53 liters per 100 kilometers and an average speed of 80.60 km\/h, the Scania R 410 stands out against its competitors.<\/p>\n

(Koblenz) This year, the Scania R 410 participated in the press comparison test ‘Green Truck’, organized by the German trade magazines Trucker and VerkehrsRundschau. “We at Scania are very proud of the award for the most fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly commercial vehicle in its class \u2013 especially because it is the fifth time in a row,” says Christian Hottgenroth, Director of Truck Sales, Scania Germany Austria, in response to the news of the latest ‘Green Truck’ victory. “This special recognition from the trade press shows us that we are leading the way towards a sustainable transport system.”<\/p>\n

Tests on Public Roads<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The evaluation of environmental performance is based on the comparison of fuel consumption and CO2<\/sub> emissions. The strictly monitored tests are conducted on public roads, with the route consisting of a mix of highways and country roads. By using a reference vehicle, the influence of external factors \u2013 such as traffic and weather \u2013 is compensated. All trucks use the same tire brand and have the same tire wear and pressure. This year, the organizers specified a total weight of 32 tons and up to 430 hp for the trucks participating on the 342.8 km long test route north of Munich. The Scania R 410 averaged 23.53 liters per 100 km while achieving the highest average speed of 80.60 km\/h.<\/p>\n
