Instead of the in-person event that was canceled at the end of May, FRUIT LOGISTICA will participate in the virtual ‘World of Fresh Ideas’. The original event will take place again in Berlin from February 9 to 11, 2022. Nevertheless, the fruit and vegetable industry does not have to miss out on the professional topics of FRUIT LOGISTICA or the well-known formats such as the Trend Report or the European Statistics Handbook.<\/p>\n

(Berlin) Because FRUIT LOGISTICA has decided to present itself as part of the World of Fresh Ideas, organized by its partner Fruitnet Media International. The two-day event offers expert knowledge on the key topics of the fresh fruit and vegetable industry and the opportunity to network with leading players in the industry. Participants of the World of Fresh Ideas can even meet the FRUIT LOGISTICA team at the digital event.<\/p>\n

The Trend Report will be presented on May 26, 2021, at 10 a.m. It focuses on the impact of Covid-19 on the international fresh fruit business. Expert comments provide an outlook on the future for producers, suppliers, and retailers. Round table participants include: Mike Knowles and Chris White (Fruitnet, UK), Wayne Prowse (Fresh Intelligence Consulting, Australia), Jan Doldersum (Rijk Zwaan, Netherlands), and Filip Fontaine (VLAM, Belgium). The Trend Report itself will be available for download on the FRUIT LOGISTICA website starting June 1, 2021.<\/p>\n

Analysis of Changes in Consumer Behavior<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Hans-Christoph Behr, the author of the European Statistics Handbook, will highlight different European markets and their developments in various Market Spotlights throughout the two-day event. Among other things, it will analyze how consumer behavior has changed over the past year, how trade with the UK has developed after Brexit, and how weather has affected the supply of fruits and vegetables. The European Statistics Handbook is already available for download on the FRUIT LOGISTICA website.<\/p>\n

More than 50 Hours of Activities<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The World of Fresh Ideas includes four thematic strands with more than 50 hours of presentations, interviews, and interactive discussions. The event offers expert knowledge from over 100 leaders in retail, procurement, import-export, production, logistics, packaging, technology, and marketing. The Fresh Ideas thematic strand highlights the latest key developments in fresh fruits and vegetables. Fresh Business provides participants with the best and most detailed industry analyses. The Fresh Tech thematic strand shows participants where technology helps businesses grow. And Fresh People offers personal interviews and recorded audio conversations with a wide and diverse mix of people from the world of fruits and vegetables.<\/p>\n
