WEKO has conducted several house searches and is now investigating whether there are indeed anti-competitive restrictions in violation of antitrust laws.<\/p>\n
When companies coordinate their bidding behavior in public or private procurement, they engage in so-called bid-rigging agreements. Typically, the bidders align their offers with the aim of awarding a contract to one company at a specific price. In the past, WEKO has conducted numerous investigations against bid-rigging cartels, particularly in the construction sector. It continues its fight against these harmful agreements, which cause significant economic damage.<\/p>\n
