The container logistics company Contargo presents its fourth sustainability report. It highlights the economic, ecological, and social progress of Contargo. The report adheres to the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the eleven corporate values according to its mission statement.<\/p>\n

(Mannheim) In December 2020, the container hinterland logistics network Contargo published its fourth sustainability report. In this new edition, the company showcases its economic, ecological, and social progress based on the eleven corporate values embedded in its mission statement. The report was prepared according to the globally recognized guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI Standards) and informs about sustainable activities in the business years 2018\/2019.<\/p>\n

The report is divided into eleven sections, ranging from authenticity to willingness to learn and reliability. Each of these sections reports on three sustainable goals at Contargo and the successes achieved in 2018 and 2019. This has resulted in 107 interesting pages that the reader can read from front to back or selectively according to interest.<\/p>\n

Report published every two years<\/strong><\/h5>\n

“After the previous sustainability report was very detailed, we wanted to make this edition significantly lighter and quicker to read,” says Kristin Kahl from the Sustainable Solutions department at Contargo. “In doing so, we let many colleagues have their say, show illustrative graphics, and also pose critical questions.”<\/p>\n

With an annual transport volume of 2.1 million TEU, Contargo is one of the major container logistics networks in Europe. Contargo integrates container traffic between the western ports, the German North Sea ports, and the European hinterland. The company operates 24 container terminals in Germany, France, and Switzerland. Contargo has offices at seven other locations in Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Additionally, the company operates its own shipping and rail lines. The 1,205 employees generated an annual revenue of 525 million euros in 2019.<\/p>\n
