The express service trans-o-flex continues its strategy of security certifications. With Hamm-Rhynern, another location of trans-o-flex Express has been certified according to the FSR-C standard. The certification was carried out by the security organization TAPA.<\/p>\n

(Weinheim) For its new hub, which was opened in May of this year in Hamm-Rhynern, the express service trans-o-flex has now also received certification from the global security organization TAPA. The Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) is an independent organization supported by shippers that has established the highest security standards in transportation worldwide. The latest TAPA standard FSR-C 2020 was applied at the Hamm location. “This standard is more demanding than anything in ISO quality management regarding security requirements. It is the ideal foundation for the further development of our security processes and technology,” explains Wolfgang P. Albeck, CEO of trans-o-flex.<\/p>\n

More Locations to Be Certified<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Hamm is the second location that trans-o-flex has certified according to TAPA standards. In 2019, the express service already received a TAPA certificate for its location in H\u00fcrth near Cologne. “There we have now passed the first interim audit,” explains Albeck. The certification process must be completely renewed every three years, and in between, an annual review of the processes is required. “In 2022, H\u00fcrth will already be up for recertification according to the latest TAPA guidelines.” Albeck expects that in the meantime, more locations will also receive TAPA certification following the example of H\u00fcrth and Hamm. “The highest security standards are vital for a company that focuses on the transport of sensitive goods,” says the company head. “Almost as important is to document the achieved level externally.” For this reason, trans-o-flex continues its strategy of gradually certifying locations according to TAPA standards.<\/p>\n

Technical Security Measures<\/strong><\/h5>\n

For certification, all security-relevant processes must be documented. Defined technical security measures are required. Both are audited annually. Finally, all personnel involved in transport and handling must regularly participate in security training. TAPA, founded by demanding shippers, also sets very specific structural requirements, such as for fences, access regulations, or video surveillance. Thus, the locations in H\u00fcrth and Hamm have also been equipped with a new video management system that allows for targeted and quick searches for individual packages.
