The packaging machine manufacturer Mosca GmbH presents a virtual exhibition instead of the canceled Interpack trade fair during the Interpack period from 25.02.-03.03.2021. The product portfolio will be showcased in six different themed rooms. The highlight is a fully automatic system for strapping pallets of varying heights.<\/p>\n
(Waldbrunn) With a virtual trade fair stand, Mosca GmbH brings its planned Interpack presence into the digital world. The web portal will be accessible from 25.02.2021 at www.mosca.com without registration. Interested parties can navigate through six themed rooms with a mouse click and experience detailed views of various high-performance machines. The highlight of the virtual appearance is a fully automatic application for flexible transport securing of differently stacked pallets. This relies on the KZV-321 pallet strapping machine, the EVOLUTION SoniXs MS-6 H horizontal strapping machine, and driverless transport systems from partner company Gebhardt F\u00f6rdertechnik GmbH.<\/p>\n
\u201cInterpack is one of the most important trade fairs in our event calendar, and we deeply regret that we cannot meet customers, journalists, and other interested parties in person this year. All the more, we are pleased that we have created a diverse portal with the digital trade fair stand that makes our technologies and solutions virtually experienceable,\u201d says Mosca Managing Director Timo Mosca. Interested parties can switch between views of different machines with just a few clicks, download multimedia information, and find suitable contacts \u2013 all from the comfort of their own desk.<\/p>\n
In the themed room \u201cMachines,\u201d visitors find themselves in the midst of a fully automatic end-of-line scenario. This consists of three core components: Mosca’s EVOLUTION SoniXs MS-6 H horizontal strapping machine, the KZV-321 pallet strapping machine, and driverless transport systems from partner Gebhardt F\u00f6rdertechnik GmbH. \u201cIn the combination of highly efficient strapping machines and freely movable conveyor elements, we see enormous potential to further increase flexibility and performance at the end of the packaging line,\u201d explains Timo Mosca. In the application, stacked packages on pallets are first secured horizontally at varying heights by the EVOLUTION SoniXs MS-6 H. The additional corner protection made of solid cardboard not only protects the product edges but also creates an initial bond. Subsequently, a driverless transport system transports the differently high pallets to the KZV-321.<\/p>\n
The variant of the KZV-321 exhibited at the stand is a version of the proven Mosca pallet strapping machine, equipped with two side units, an open band frame, and six movable tongues at three different heights. This allows users to flexibly strap different heights of individual pallets as well as stacked pallets \u2013 previously, the different strapping patterns for individual and stacked pallets could only be represented by two different machines. In the virtual application example, the driverless transport system alternately transports single or two stacked pallets into the machine. The tongues then close the band frame at the appropriate height, and the KZV-321 straps the package securely and form-fit. If two stacked pallets are placed in the machine instead of a single pallet, the strapping creates a bond between the two. For this, the tongues of the KZV-321 pass through the runners of the pallets. Thus, the strapping band does not come into direct contact with the actual product, allowing users to utilize a higher band tension without worrying about damaging the product.<\/p>\n
The use of driverless transport systems from Gebhardt F\u00f6rdertechnik GmbH also contributes to the flexibility of the application: These move autonomously in the production environment based on map layouts and can independently navigate around obstacles when necessary. They automatically take over packages and can transfer them to subsequent stations at different heights using an integrated lifting system. Thanks to their interface and a mobile application, they can also be conveniently operated and commissioned via devices such as a tablet. Their performance can also be analyzed in this way.<\/p>\n
Mosca presents its services and concepts for future-oriented packaging lines in five additional themed areas. In the themed room \u201cDigitalization,\u201d a Mosca machine with Industry 4.0 features is in the spotlight: The EVOLUTION SoniXs TR-6 Pro illustrates how digital features can optimize processes in end-of-line solutions.<\/p>\n
In addition to innovative and powerful technologies, Mosca offers comprehensive support from consulting to maintenance and service. The company ensures that customers worldwide receive uniform support of the highest quality with the ONE Service concept. New since autumn 2020 is the area of Performance Services, which will be presented in the \u201cServices\u201d themed area of the trade fair stand. Customers receive individual consulting worldwide for the continuous optimization and sustainable efficiency increase of their Mosca machines.<\/p>\n
This focus on sustainable action is also a priority for Mosca on other levels. \u201cWe see ourselves clearly in responsibility \u2013 regarding our plastic strap material, but also concerning our entire production method,\u201d emphasizes Managing Director Simone Mosca. This self-commitment is reflected in the \u201cStrapping Band\u201d room, which presents sustainable band solutions. For example, PET strapping band is made from 100 percent recycled materials. The themed area \u201cSustainability\u201d builds on this and showcases Mosca’s entire range of sustainability concepts, which include environmentally friendly processes and climate-neutral production processes in addition to recyclable materials.<\/p>\n
In the last themed room, visitors learn more about Mosca’s specific approaches for the five core industries of the strapping specialist: the corrugated and paper industry, mail order and logistics, as well as the areas of building materials and containers, food and beverages, and newspapers and the graphic industry.<\/p>\n
