The Hamburg intralogistics company Still is supporting three social projects for children and youth in Hamburg this Christmas. The Mittagskinder Foundation, the Kultur Palast Hamburg Foundation, and the Wilhelmsburg Production School will each receive a donation of 5,000 euros.<\/p>\n

(Hamburg) For several years, Still has been promoting local projects that aim to ensure equal access to education, culture, and social interaction for children and youth in Hamburg. In 2020, Still is also supporting the Mittagskinder Foundation, the Kultur Palast Hamburg Foundation, and the Wilhelmsburg Production School with a donation of 5,000 euros each. Today, Still’s Managing Director Thomas A. Fischer personally handed over the donations to the three institutions at Still’s headquarters in Hamburg.<\/p>\n

A Matter of the Heart<\/strong><\/h5>\n

“Supporting Hamburg’s children and youth is a matter of the heart for Still. Furthermore, it is an investment in the future of our city \u2013 especially important in these challenging times,” explains Thomas A. Fischer during the donation handover. Thus, Still is also committed this year to three local projects that advocate for equal opportunities, rights, integration, and education for the next generation \u2013 and for ensuring that as many children as possible receive a healthy meal every day.<\/p>\n

Hamburg Projects for Equal Opportunities and the Future<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The Mittagskinder Foundation enables around 200 Hamburg children to receive not only a warm lunch regularly but also educational support and homework assistance. Additionally, numerous families are currently being supported with shopping vouchers for groceries. The Kultur Palast Hamburg Foundation provides children access to music and dance projects and is currently implementing digital initiatives as well.<\/p>\n

Equal Access to Education<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The Wilhelmsburg Production School is particularly committed to ensuring equal access to education. It trains and qualifies young people after they leave school for the transition to the labor market and offers project-oriented learning in five professional fields (metal, wood, gastronomy, retail, hairdressing). Here, it is especially the thematic proximity to the own training profession as a construction mechanic that makes Still an ideal partner for the project. Therefore, both sides want to intensify their collaboration in the coming year to create even better opportunities for graduates entering the workforce \u2013 for example, at Still. “The Wilhelmsburg Production School is a great example of how social support and fair access to training opportunities can succeed sustainably \u2013 locally, concretely, and practically,” praises Thomas A. Fischer.<\/p>\n
