For the family-owned company in Kamen, the safety of its employees is the top priority. The ISO standard replaces the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS).<\/p>\n<p>(Kamen) Paul Vahle GmbH &amp; Co. KG has been certified according to ISO standard 45001 for its exemplary occupational health and safety management. With the verified measures, the system provider for mobile industrial applications increases the safety of its employees and ensures transparent processes for partners and customers. The ISO certificate confirms that the internal structures and their control comply with legal regulations.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Responsible as a company<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><strong> <\/strong>&#8220;As a company, we are responsible for our employees and place the highest value on their safety at work,&#8221; explains Achim Dries, Managing Director of Paul Vahle GmbH &amp; Co. KG. The family business in Kamen was recently certified for its newly designed occupational health and safety management system. &#8220;The new action plan now also includes processes such as risk assessment, emergency management, and consultation and involvement of the workforce,&#8221; says Dries, adding: &#8220;Further areas will follow.&#8221; These expansions became necessary when the previously applicable Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series was replaced two years ago by the DIN standard 45001:2018. Marc Rubeau, safety specialist at VAHLE, reports: &#8220;The standard is significantly more process-oriented. We developed the new requirements using a checklist and assigned tasks to the individual specialist areas.&#8221; The implementation went smoothly as the entire team pulled together.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Optimized occupational health and safety management<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>&#8220;The top priority is that all employees arrive at work healthy in the morning and leave just as healthy in the evening,&#8221; says Rubeau. Through the optimized occupational health and safety management, the Kamen system provider also ensures greater transparency externally: &#8220;With the certificate, we demonstrate to authorities as well as our partners and customers that we operate in compliance with the law.
