The President of Renault Trucks, Bruno Blin, handed over an E-Truck ‘D Wide Z.E.’ to CEO Thomas Amstutz of Brewery Feldschl\u00f6sschen, a location of the Carlsberg Group, in Rheinfelden, Switzerland. This is the first vehicle of an order for twenty fully electric 26-ton trucks for the brewery group.<\/p>\n

(Ismaning\/D; Rheinfelden\/CH) In February, Renault Trucks announced the signing of a contract with the Carlsberg Group for the delivery of twenty fully electric 26-ton D Wide Z.E. trucks \u2013 a key milestone on the path to transforming urban transport. On November 24, 2020, Bruno Blin, President of Renault Trucks, handed over the first of twenty 100 percent electric D Wide Z.E. trucks to Thomas Amstutz, CEO of Feldschl\u00f6sschen.<\/p>\n

Transport Sector in the Greatest Change So Far<\/strong><\/h5>\n

First Emission-Free Truck in Beverage Trade in Europe<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Thomas Amstutz, CEO of Feldschl\u00f6sschen, further stated: “We are proud to be the first Swiss, indeed the first European company to use emission-free trucks for beverage transport. Our goal is to become a key player in the production and distribution of beers and beverages, in logistics, but also in environmental protection.”The Brewery Feldschl\u00f6sschen and the Carlsberg Group, which are strongly committed to environmental protection and combating climate change, have set themselves the goal of achieving a distribution traffic that produces no CO2 emissions. The brewery will achieve this goal particularly through the use of electric trucks for urban distribution traffic, which run on electricity from renewable sources. Additionally, rail transport will increasingly be chosen for long-distance transport.<\/p>\n

E-Trucks from Renault Trucks Already in Series Production<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Renault Trucks offers a complete range of 100 percent electric vehicles from 3.1 to 26 tons. Transport companies looking to reduce their CO\u2082 footprint can already equip themselves with a fully electric truck from series production today.To protect air quality, electric trucks emit neither CO2 nor NOx (nitrogen oxides). Regardless of restrictions from environmental zones, they can drive at any time, even during periods of exceeding air pollution limits.
