A space-saving pocket sorting system from Dematic is in use there. &#8220;This not only shortens the toy manufacturer&#8217;s order processing but also the access times for returned items. For the transport of goods, the system uses pockets that are space-savingly hung on rollers and run in an overhead rail. Various product shapes and sizes with a weight of up to three kilograms can be stored in the pockets. The intake of items occurs automatically, as does their emptying. This makes the system suitable for fully automated order processing for pure e-commerce as well as omni-channel retail. Furthermore, the technology offers the advantage of seamless integration into existing systems due to its modular design and variable chain length. This way, the pocket sorter can be compactly installed in almost any application environment.
