A new multimedia dossier from the Federal Association of Logistics (BVL) is dedicated to the topic of ‘Sustainable Design’. This encompasses all dimensions such as economic, ecological, and social aspects. Concrete suggestions, impulses, and inspirations are provided.<\/p>\n

(Bremen) Hardly any trend is as omnipresent as sustainability. With its annual motto ‘Sustainable Design \u2013 Winning the Next Decade’, the Federal Association of Logistics encourages the advancement of sustainable actions. ‘Sustainable Design’ is the order of the day, in all dimensions: economically, ecologically, and socially. Concrete suggestions, impulses, and inspiration are now available in a multimedia dossier from the BVL.<\/p>\n

How is logistics preparing for the next decade? How can business success, environmental protection, and social interests be promoted equally? These crucial questions are highlighted by the BVL’s annual motto ‘Sustainable Design \u2013 Winning the Next Decade’. Experts from business, science, and politics will also address this trend at the German Logistics Congress, which will take place from October 21 to 23, 2020, in Berlin. Interested parties can already find inspirations and stories related to sustainability at bvl.de\/nachhaltig-gestalten and on social networks.<\/p>\n

From sustainability concepts in prehistoric times to the 17 UN goals for sustainable development, from online fitness portals in retail to wood in mechanical engineering: The BVL’s online dossier examines ‘Sustainable Design’ from various angles and offers practical examples from companies that have not only integrated sustainability into their corporate culture but also live it. It provides exciting survey results on the topic and gives a voice to people from the logistics sector.<\/p>\n

“With our annual motto, the motto of the German Logistics Congress, and our online dossier, we want to encourage people to think about sustainability in all its facets \u2013 economically, ecologically, and socially. In particular, entrepreneurs should consider how they can position their businesses for a successful future in this context. If this reflection leads to sustainable actions, we will have achieved a lot,” says BVL Chairman Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Wimmer.<\/p>\n
