In this way, the consultants gain a precise understanding of the intralogistical challenges faced by customers and then recommend the appropriate components. “Especially for cost-conscious companies, comprehensive consulting pays off. After all, it leads to smart and forward-thinking purchasing decisions,” says Eschment. The Corona crisis has led to less costly investments being made and has given the wheel segment a boost. Eschment: “Wheels are often used in maintenance. Preventing something from breaking down in the operation is particularly important for many companies right now.”<\/p>\n

At Torwegge, they know exactly when which wheel is needed. The company has been developing and selling innovative solutions for intralogistics for almost 65 years. As early as 1956, the founder of the company demonstrated wheel and roller expertise when he manufactured the first components in his garage. 250,000 Wheels in Stock<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Torwegge has around 250,000 wheels in stock in Bielefeld and can deliver them at short notice. Additionally, custom-made products can be developed and produced. The components differ, for example, in terms of durability, rolling resistance, load capacity, size, and price. The running surfaces have a significant influence on the properties of a wheel. The suitable material depends on the intended use. The classics among the wheels for many industrial applications are made of solid rubber. They are inexpensive and offer a wide variety. Generally, solid rubber wheels provide good rolling comfort, run quietly, and are gentle on the floor. A plastic that is also used in children’s toys is thermoplastic. It has similar properties to rubber but does not contain plasticizers, making it non-harmful to health. Additionally, it is non-marking and odorless. For those needing a break-resistant wheel, Torwegge recommends polyamide. Loads of up to 6 tons per wheel can be transported with it.<\/p>\n
