An AutoStore\u00ae system will be installed.<\/p>\n<p>(Heusenstamm\/Bussy-Saint-Georges, F) Dematic is delivering an AutoStore<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> system to the Swiss tool manufacturer Applitec Moutier SA. The developer and producer of high-end cutting tools for machining and micromechanics has tasked Dematic with automating a new building at its central warehouse in Moutier, Switzerland. The storage and order picking will be carried out using the automated small parts warehouse. Thanks to its compact design, AutoStore<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> efficiently utilizes the space of the new building while ensuring optimal storage density. The commissioning of the system is planned for October 2020.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3626 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/loginfo24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2025\/12\/Dematic_24.6.20-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"711\" \/>&#8220;After a thorough analysis of various solutions for automated storage and order picking, which we conducted in cooperation with the consulting company Stelog SA, AutoStore<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> proved to be optimal for us. The system impresses with its productivity and numerous expansion options,&#8221; says Laslo Pataki, Deputy Managing Director of Applitec Moutier SA.<\/p>\n<h5>Efficient Use of Space<\/h5>\n<p>The compact storage and goods-to-person piece picking system can be easily adapted to the local conditions and convinced the tool manufacturer with numerous other advantages: &#8220;AutoStore<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> efficiently utilizes the available space, allowing us to achieve a high storage density. Additionally, the solution automatically supplies the fixed picking stations, saving our employees unnecessary trips to the warehouse,&#8221; says Pataki. The system also ensures optimal management of storage locations, according to Pataki, by dividing storage units into multiple compartments, thus maximizing space utilization. &#8220;Furthermore, with the help of AutoStore<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, we can pre-plan orders and thereby reduce the time required for our employees,&#8221; says Pataki.As with all AutoStore<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> solutions developed and implemented by Dematic, the system at Applitec Moutier SA is designed to support the company&#8217;s future growth. For example, storage capacity can be increased by expanding the aluminum grids and adding additional robots without interrupting operations.
