The KEP logistics provider Night Star Express is expanding its presence in the Leipzig\/Halle region and is moving into a new hall with around 2,000 square meters in Kabelsketal. Due to further growth, the expansion was urgently needed.<\/p>\n

(Unna\/Kabelsketal) Night Star Express is expanding its location in the Leipzig\/Halle region and is moving into a new hall facility of approximately 2,000 square meters in Kabelsketal. “The expansion of the location has been planned for a long time and was urgently needed,” says Matthias Hohmann, Managing Director of Night Star Express. “In recent months, we have gained many customers with large shipping volumes. We have been looking for larger halls throughout Germany that meet our requirements for some time. Unfortunately, the search is not that easy. Therefore, we are even more pleased about the move to the new hall facility in Kabelsketal!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Larger Locations Sought Throughout Germany<\/span><\/b><\/h5>\n

As the company operates across Europe, larger locations are being sought in every region of Germany. “The connection is particularly important,” explains Matthias Hohmann. “Not only the connection to the customer is important, but also the connection to our transshipment operations. With our dense network of routes, we are able to respond quickly to changes. This allows us to act flexibly, which we often have to do. We pick up our customers’ goods the evening before or in the afternoon and deliver them by 8 a.m. at the latest. When you offer such a fast service, you sometimes have to respond to changes in traffic management or shipment volumes at night or the day before.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Convenient Location<\/span><\/b><\/h5>\n

The location in Kabelsketal is strategically well-positioned near the A9\/A14 highway interchange and is therefore not far from the previous location in Krostitz. Kai Michalik, depot manager for the Kabelsketal and Klipphausen locations, explains: “The decision to move was made in the middle of last year. While we could still meet the shipment volume at the old location, we now have optimal conditions in the new hall.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Night Star Express is a consortium of six logistics partners. The location in Kabelsketal is operated by the founding member Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.<\/span><\/p>\n
