Jun 25, 2026 at 12:37 PMDKV Mobility has announced plans to establish a new tech hub in Porto, Portugal. This location aims to provide access to an expanded pool of expertise in data and artificial intelligence (AI). The goal is to accelerate the development of data-driven digital products and services, particularly in the areas of refueling, charging, and fleet management, as stated by the company.
Expansion of the workforce
As part of this initiative, DKV Mobility plans to hire a total of 150 new specialists by the end of 2027. The new location in Porto complements the existing technology sites in Ratingen and Bucharest, where the company also reports investments. This decision is part of a tech offensive aimed at attracting several hundred IT experts across Europe.
Changes in the mobility market, particularly the ongoing electrification and increasing diversification of fleets, require innovative approaches according to the company. Fleet operators are increasingly expecting integrated digital solutions rather than isolated products. With the new tech hub in Porto, DKV Mobility intends to strengthen its capabilities to meet market demands and bring innovations to market more quickly. This is expected to help tap into the growth potential in the field of electromobility.
