Innovators’ Pitch promotes digital solutions
Jan 27, 2026 at 4:28 PMThe Saxon Inland Ports Oberelbe GmbH (SBO) has realized several converted special containers for the Vocational School Center for Business „Franz Ludwig Gehe“ (BSZ) in Dresden. These containers are based on shipping containers that have been redesigned according to the specific requirements of the school.
Diverse Usage Options of the Containers
As part of the project, various containers were created that serve different functions. These include storage containers for sports equipment and containers that serve as covered break areas. A particularly innovative element is a container designed as a „green classroom.“ This classroom provides a modern learning and recreational space outdoors and expands the school’s teaching options with a nature-oriented area.
The containers were painted in a striking orange color that harmoniously integrates into the appearance of the BSZ. The entire conversion of the containers took place at the SBO port in Riesa. After completion, the containers were transported to Dresden and professionally set up there with a loading crane.
With this project, SBO demonstrates its capabilities as a container all-rounder at the Riesa location. The company offers a wide portfolio that includes container repairs, cleaning, custom special designs, as well as the trading and sale of containers. SBO develops tailored solutions for various application areas, ranging from educational institutions to industry and logistics.
