The 36th Congress of the Club of Logistics is titled ‘The Green Transformation of Europe – (Not) a Problem for Logistics!?

(Dortmund/Leipzig) The Club of Visionaries, as the Club of Logistics based in Dortmund is also known, is dedicating its 36th congress to green logistics. Under the title:

‘The Green Transformation of Europe – (Not) a Problem for Logistics!?’

the members will meet on November 8 and 9, 2021, in Leipzig. A varied program awaits the guests.

On the first day of the congress, Arnold Schroven, Chairman, and Prof. Dr. Volker Stich, Deputy Chairman, along with none other than Michael Kretschmer, the Minister-President of the Free State of Saxony, will welcome the guests.

Afterwards, four discussion panels with exciting, sometimes provocative topics are on the agenda:

Saving the planet? Are we still savable?
The Green Deal: A stroke of genius for the future or abandoned by all good spirits?
‘Ecology and economy are not adversaries.’ Perhaps only because the economy has nothing more to say in the age of ecologicalism?
From the plaything of bureaucrats to an active co-designer: The logistics industry must take its fate into its own hands.

Between three and five suitable speakers will participate in the discussions of each panel. The first day will conclude with a gala dinner in the hall of the old stock exchange in Leipzig.

The second day of the congress is dedicated to practical experiences on-site. First, participants can convince themselves of an intelligent and environmentally friendly system in combined transport at CargoBeamer. Afterwards, they will visit Pamyra, the first independent price comparison platform for transport services.

The Managing Director of the Club of Logistics, Peter H. Voß, is pleased that the event can be held as a live event. ‘It is something different when you see each other in person than when you can only talk through a screen. That was clearly missing during the lockdowns.’
