Senger-Weiss receives honorary badge and award

Wolfram Senger-Weiss (left), the Chairman of the Management Board of Gebrüder Weiss, was awarded the Great Silver Honorary Badge for Services to the Republic of Austria on April 9, 2026. The award ceremony took place during a festive event in Schwarzach, Vorarlberg, and was presented by Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker (right).

Recognition of international engagement

In his speech, Chancellor Stocker emphasized the significance of Senger-Weiss‘ achievements that extend beyond Austria’s borders. „This award is not only a recognition of entrepreneurial success. It also honors the international vision and commitment beyond the borders of our country, with the clear goal of creating prosperity and sustainably securing jobs in Austria,“ the Chancellor stated.

The Great Silver Honorary Badge is one of the highest state awards in Austria and is granted to individuals who have made significant contributions to the country.

Additional honor with the VN Economic Award

On the same evening, Senger-Weiss also received the VN Economic Award, presented by the Vorarlberger Nachrichten. This award recognizes individuals who combine entrepreneurial responsibility with foresight, consistency, and integrity. The jury particularly highlighted Senger-Weiss‘ entrepreneurial achievements, sustainable economic success, and his long-term commitment to the Vorarlberg location. This is underscored by a significant investment in a new logistics and IT center in Wolfurt, Vorarlberg.

Senger-Weiss accepted the award on behalf of the entire company and stated, „This award is a confirmation of the collective efforts of our employees worldwide and our consistent path of combining sustainable growth with a clear commitment to our roots.“

The awards were presented during the „Top 100“ event organized by the Vorarlberger Nachrichten, which annually brings together leading figures from business and politics and awards honors in several categories.
