Quentin Benault appointed new Managing Director of e-LOGIK
Mar 31, 2026 at 3:33 PMThe nationwide piece goods network NG.network has established a partnership with Logistikbude to digitize the management of load carriers. The aim of this collaboration is to make the administration of Euro pallets and mesh boxes between the partner companies more efficient and to significantly reduce manual effort.
The software solution from Logistikbude, which is considered the first Load Carrier Management System (LCMS), enables comprehensive digitization and automation of processes related to pallets and containers. Dr. Philipp Hüning, CEO and co-founder of Logistikbude, emphasizes that the demand for digital solutions in networks with many partners and complex coordination processes is particularly high. The platform provides companies with a central overview of all load carrier flows and aims to help transform processes that have developed over decades.
Efficiency Increase through Automation
NG.network combines the transport capacities of 47 partner companies and manages their piece goods shipments through regional freight forwarders. The network’s headquarters is responsible for planning and further development and relies on data-driven volume control as well as quality monitoring. Steffen Landsiedel, Head of IT and Digitalization at NG.network, highlights the importance of the innovation community, which develops solutions for digitization and sustainability in close collaboration with partners.
Before the implementation of the new software solution, many steps in load carrier management were manual and time-consuming. Returns and coordination often occurred via documents, emails, or phone calls, making it difficult to track shipments. With the new solution, the exchange of shipment data is automated, creating continuous transparency regarding the location and development of load carrier balances. Landsiedel explains that this automation can save numerous working hours per week, as manual bookings and clarifications are eliminated.
Planned Roll-out in Summer 2026
The project started in February 2026, and NG.network and Logistikbude are currently working on the technical implementation and integration of master data. After a testing phase with partner companies, the solution is expected to go live in the summer of 2026. In addition to the technical implementation, change management is also being considered to involve employees early in the process and to integrate the new digital workflows in a practical manner. Landsiedel is convinced that the acceptance of digitization will increase when it brings tangible relief to everyday work.
