HHLA terminal relies on battery-operated cranes
Mar 20, 2026 at 11:54 AMSuncar has developed a new DC charging interface for its megawatt charging system with the MegaFlow 1500. The solution targets manufacturers of commercial vehicles and machinery, enabling charging capacities of up to 1,500 amperes at voltages of up to 1,000 V.
Compared to existing systems, the charging process can be significantly accelerated. This is particularly relevant for applications with short downtimes and high energy demands, such as in shift operations or with heavy machinery.
Focus on integration in vehicles
The integration of megawatt charging technology presents manufacturers with technical challenges. In addition to high-voltage components, safety and communication systems are also required.
The new interface consolidates these functions into a modular system. An optional charging controller can be integrated to manage communication between the vehicle and the charging infrastructure.
The solution is currently being tested in pilot projects and is expected to be available within a few months.
