Mar 13, 2026 at 9:52 AMTen years ago, TII India Pvt. Ltd. was founded in Bawal, near New Delhi. Since then, the location has developed into an important part of the global value creation of the TII Group. With around 350 employees and a production area of 30,000 m², Bawal has established itself as a strategic heavy-duty hub serving both the Indian market and international customers.
Integration into Global Production Structures
The integration into the global production network of the TII Group and the application of uniform quality standards have enabled the plant to achieve an international orientation early on. Miguel Fernandes, Managing Director of TII India, emphasizes: “When we started in 2015, the goal was to build a stable industrial base with maximum standards. Today, Bawal is a central component of our global strategy.” The location has evolved from a purely production site for India to an internationally connected heavy-duty hub.
At the center of the development is the modular system SCHEUERLE K25, which serves as a platform solution for various heavy transport applications. The modules are adapted to national regulations or internationally recognized homologation standards. Since 2022, TII India has also been producing variants that comply with UNECE requirements, enabling use in highly regulated markets. This adaptability offers customers a globally applicable transport solution that can be configured project- and approval-specific without changing the fundamental technical architecture.
Technological Advances and Projects
In the early years after its founding, TII India made significant technological strides. In 2016, the first telescopic extender vehicles were delivered, designed for transporting rotor blades up to 62 m in length. In 2018, the first girder bridge manufactured in India was completed with a payload capacity of up to 500 t for the customer Nabros. A year later, another girder bridge was produced for Parabia, designed for payloads of up to 550 t (photo). These projects have decisively solidified the technological capabilities of the site.
Today, transport solutions manufactured in Bawal are used not only in India but also in regions such as the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Europe. Filippo Baldassari, Managing Director of the TII Group, highlights: “The fact that around two-thirds of the revenue now comes from international projects demonstrates the strategic importance of the location within our global network.”
The opening of a new office in Pune in 2025 is expected to further strengthen market presence. It will consolidate project engineering, sales, and service for India and parts of Asia, working closely with the manufacturing in Bawal. Additionally, Bawal will serve as a service hub for SCHEUERLE products in India and Southeast Asia, reducing response times and improving customer proximity.
