He succeeds Thomas Baur, who is leaving the company after many years of service and retiring. Baur’s departure marks the end of a significant era for PackSynergy AG, which has developed into a major European alliance of medium-sized packaging dealers under his leadership.
Thomas Baur has led the company for many years with strategic foresight and commitment. Under his leadership, PackSynergy established itself as a reliable partner and innovative idea provider in the packaging industry. Baur significantly contributed to the company’s economic growth and fostered a culture of trust and cooperation. His efforts to deepen collaboration within the network led to numerous initiatives that enabled long-term success for the members.

Experienced Successor with Extensive Expertise
With Thomas Wolf, PackSynergy AG gains an experienced leader with comprehensive knowledge in network and cluster management as well as association work. Wolf, a graduate computer scientist and Master in Entrepreneurship, previously served as the head of a business unit at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg. There, he was responsible for key topics such as innovation, technology, energy and environment, as well as business promotion. Additionally, he has been a member of the management board of the IHK for nine years and was the managing director of TechnologyMountains e. V. for 13 years, where he successfully expanded the network from 40 to over 500 members.
PackSynergy AG is one of the leading packaging networks in Europe and is represented in 26 countries. For over 25 years, the alliance has connected local champions in the packaging industry and created added value for members and customers through cooperation and knowledge exchange. Thomas Wolf commented on his new role: “I am very pleased to continue supporting PackSynergy on its successful path. The tasks and challenges of the association are extremely exciting.
