Craiss Austria expands at the Weiz location

The German Waterways and Shipping Association Rhine-Main-Danube e.V. (DWSV e.V.) has joined the Logistics Initiative Bavaria. This initiative serves as an umbrella brand for mobility, transport, and logistics networks in Bavaria. The goal of DWSV e.V. is to strengthen the ecosystem of „inland shipping & waterway“ and thus emphasize the importance of the waterway in the Bavarian logistics sector.
Expansion of the Network
Dr. Rudolf Aunkofer, Managing Director of the Logistics Initiative Bavaria, emphasizes the benefits of joining: „With its expertise in inland shipping and waterways, DWSV e.V. perfectly complements the existing network of bayern innovativ, LKZ Prien GmbH, Logistics Agency Upper Franconia e.V., Logistics Cluster Swabia e.V., and CNA e.V.“ The waterway is regarded as an essential component of the logistics location Bavaria, playing an important role alongside road, rail, and air. Through collaboration, new impulses for networking and sustainability are to be set.
DWSV e.V. brings an extensive network into the Logistics Initiative Bavaria that promotes cross-industry collaboration. The initiative plans to initiate joint activities, events, and projects to make inland shipping more visible as an integral part of modern logistics chains and to support its further development.

The Logistics Initiative Bavaria connects various stakeholders from business, politics, science, and research to strengthen the competitiveness of the logistics location Bavaria. On behalf of the Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Construction, and Transport, the initiative consolidates the forces of the Bavarian transport and logistics industry. It sets impulses for dialogue, innovation, digitalization, and sustainability to address the challenges of the industry and develop future-proof solutions.
