
Personnel changes at Logix
Feb 11, 2026 at 12:03 PMThe DIRKS Group has taken over the operation of the CKD packaging center of Volkswagen at the Jade Weser Port in Wilhelmshaven at the turn of the year. The company, based in Emden, will supply numerous overseas plants of the automotive group from this location with approximately 3,000 different parts. In addition, parts will be received and distributed to more than 20 European plants. Annually, around 5,500 containers will be handled.
Takeover and Future Perspectives
Marcus Dirks, owner of the DIRKS Group, expressed his pleasure regarding the transfer of operations: “We are very pleased that Volkswagen has entrusted us with the operation of the packaging center in Wilhelmshaven.” He emphasized that the DIRKS Group is capable of offering a suitable solution by combining automotive expertise and logistics capabilities. Jan Wegmann, head of DIRKS Automotive, added that the company aims to further grow at the Wilhelmshaven location through future volume shifts and additional contracts.
The DIRKS Group currently employs around 4,500 staff and operates 32 locations, both in Germany and internationally. The company was founded more than 90 years ago in Emden, where it has its headquarters.
