The majority of new registrations were recorded in the United Kingdom, France, Poland, Germany, and Lithuania. In Germany, Volvo Trucks achieved a market share of 10.5%.
Successful Model Range and Technological Advances
Particularly noteworthy is the Volvo FH Aero, which offers fuel efficiency of up to 7% compared to the regular Volvo FH due to its optimized aerodynamics and innovative technologies such as digital camera mirrors. In 2025, nearly 33,000 vehicles from this model range were ordered in Europe.
Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, expressed pride in the renewed market leadership: “We are very proud to be the market leader in Europe for the second consecutive time. Our goal is to be the best business partner for our customers. Being a market leader is a strong testament to the trust our customers place in us.” Alm thanked customers and employees for the achievement and emphasized the outstanding qualities of Volvo Trucks‘ truck portfolio, which combines reliability, fuel efficiency, and safety.
Global Market Position and Future Strategy
On a global level, Volvo Trucks is either the market leader or the second-largest truck brand in 30 countries. The company pursues a three-pronged technology strategy to accelerate the transition to fossil-free transport and achieve its goal of net-zero emissions by 2040. This strategy includes battery-electric drives, fuel cell vehicles, and combustion engines powered by renewable fuels.
Alm emphasized the company’s innovative strength: “We will continue to be innovative and bring new trucks to market that not only contribute to our customers‘ businesses but also to the decarbonization of our industry.” Through investments in various technologies, Volvo Trucks aims to provide transport solutions that meet the diverse needs of customers and markets.
