To attract young talents and career changers to intralogistics, the Wirtschaftsmacher and EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress GmbH have initiated a cooperation on the occasion of LogiMAT 2026. This partnership aims to promote and make visible the diversity and attractiveness of the industry. A central element of the initiative is a study on the working world in logistics and intralogistics, conducted in collaboration with a market research institute.
Wirtschaftsmacher, an initiative active since 2019 with around 100 supporters, advocates for a positive image of the logistics industry in the public eye. EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress GmbH, which organizes LogiMAT, supports these efforts. The campaigns of Wirtschaftsmacher specifically target career starters, students, and professionals looking to switch fields. The goal is to spark interest in careers within the transport and logistics sector.
Focus on Career Opportunities and Skilled Labor Shortage
LogiMAT, an international trade fair in Stuttgart, is also dedicated to the topic of „Jobs in Intralogistics“ and plans to further expand this area. As part of the upcoming „LogiMAT CareerDay,“ taking place on March 26, 2026, the focus will be on engaging students and professionals considering a transition into the industry. This is particularly relevant in the Stuttgart metropolitan area, characterized by a multitude of smaller companies, especially in the supply industry.
The cooperation between Wirtschaftsmacher and EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress GmbH aims to increase the visibility of the intralogistics sector and inspire young people to pursue careers in this field. Michael Ruchty, head of the LogiMAT Stuttgart, expressed positive sentiments about the collaboration: „We are very pleased to work with Wirtschaftsmacher – together we are sending a strong signal for the future of intralogistics and its attractiveness as an employer sector.“
A central element of the cooperation is the study „Working World (Intra-) Logistics,“ which highlights the challenges of the skilled labor shortage as well as the diverse career opportunities in the industry. The results of this study will be presented at a press conference on March 24, 2026, during LogiMAT. The presentation of the study results is intended to continue in the following years to make development trends in the industry visible.
