(Pressebox: Hamburg) Located about one kilometer from the future Hamburg landmark, the Elbtower, the new headquarters of ek robotics GmbH is situated. After more than 20 years just outside Hamburg, in the Lower Saxony district of Nenndorf in the municipality of Rosengarten, ek robotics is relocating its corporate headquarters to the Hamburg district of Veddel. The new building at Oberwerder Damm 11 has five floors, accommodates more than 400 experts, and includes approximately 7,000 square meters of office space as well as a roughly 3,000 square meter assembly, testing, and development hall. “With the new headquarters, we can optimally respond to our company growth and react to the global automation trend.
Good connectivity to infrastructure
With the intelligent room concept and excellent connectivity to Hamburg’s infrastructure, we now offer our employees the best possible working and environmental conditions. With this move, we have laid the foundation to become one of the most attractive employers in the industry,” says Andreas J. Böttner, Managing Director of ek robotics. In the assembly, testing, and development hall, various transport robots navigate test courses modeled after industrial standards and are dispatched from there to global customers from various industries.
60 years of expertise in automated transport solutions
The high-tech company leverages its 60 years of expertise to develop automated transport solutions and realizes optimal material flows for sustainably efficient intralogistics for companies of all sizes and industries. “The market for transport robotics is growing – and we have been shaping it for decades. I am pleased that we can now offer our extensive solution and service portfolio to the whole world from Hamburg,” says Böttner. The innovation and production center in Hamburg-Veddel replaces the previous headquarters in Nenndorf, Rosengarten, and is one of five locations of the corporate group alongside Reutlingen (Germany), Milan (Italy), Prague (Czech Republic), and Buckingham (UK).
