Rhenus PartnerShip Strengthens Competitive Position in Belgium
Apr 21, 2024 at 8:32 AMThe Panattoni Park Voerde has a new owner: the internationally active real estate investor Clarion Partners Europe has acquired the property for one of its funds. The logistics park, consisting of two buildings with over 66,000 m2 of usable space, was completed in 2023 and is fully leased. It impresses, among other things, with its trimodal transport connections.
(Hamburg/Voerde) The logistics park is located in an established commercial area in close proximity to the economic and logistics regions of Duisburg and the Lower Rhine. Tenants include MT Deutschland, the gearbox manufacturer Flender, and the logistics service provider WM Group. The park is excellently connected to the inland ports along the Rhine and is also optimally accessible by road and rail. It consists of two logistics halls that can be divided into six differently sized units.
The installation and completion of a photovoltaic system with a peak output of 6.86 megawatts peak (MWp) is planned for the end of 2024. With the expected electricity production of over 5.8 million kilowatt-hours per year (kWh), approximately 2,300 two-person households can be supplied with green energy from the Panattoni Park Voerde. Sustainability was also a focus during the development of the park: the project was realized on a former brownfield site of around 112,000 m² and is one of the largest revitalizations in the Lower Rhine region.
Property in a Central Location
“Clarion Partners Europe gains a property in a central location with the acquisition of the Panattoni Park Voerde, which is certified to DGNB Gold standard, can be handed over fully leased, and will have one of the largest rooftop photovoltaic systems in the region by the end of the year,” summarizes Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner of Panattoni Germany and Austria, the advantages of the park.
