BGL Welcomes Agreement on Long Trucks Type 1
Oct 13, 2023 at 7:05 PMScannell Properties, a privately owned real estate development and investment company focused on the development of large-scale industrial and logistics facilities, has welcomed its new tenant Tyremotive to its industrial park in Kitzingen, Bavaria. The modern 23,500 m² warehouse has now been officially handed over to the rim and tire wholesaler.
(Kitzingen) The company Tyremotive, specializing in the distribution of tires and wheels, celebrated the official move into its new, state-of-the-art warehouse in the Kitzingen industrial park last Monday. Among those present at the ceremonial key handover were representatives from the city of Kitzingen, including Deputy District Administrator Doris Paul and Mayor Stefan Güntner, as well as partner companies of the real estate developer Scannell Properties and its Managing Director DACH and Benelux, Jordan Corynen. He was also the one who handed over the symbolic key for the new warehouse to the managing directors Henny Butter and Christian Leibold of the internationally operating rim and tire wholesaler Tyremotive.
The location is strategically advantageous: The Kitzingen industrial park is directly connected to the two highways A3 and A7, situated between the two important economic centers of Frankfurt and Nuremberg. In developing its projects, Scannell Properties ensures that it offers its tenants flexible, modern, and sustainable logistics spaces. The new warehouse in Kitzingen also features the sustainable building concept developed by Scannell Properties. This includes charging stations for electric vehicles, an innovative district heating system with significantly lower primary energy requirements, utilizing wood chips as a renewable resource; a photovoltaic system on the roof; systems for gray water and rainwater utilization; as well as LED lighting throughout the building.
Eleventh project in Germany
With the new logistics property, Scannell has already realized its eleventh project in Germany. Due to the many positive aspects, the leasing of the new warehouse was not difficult: Tyremotive signed the lease for the hall back in June. Kitzingen’s Mayor Stefan Güntner is pleased about the growth in the region: “The establishment of internationally operating companies like Tyremotive boosts economic growth in the region, and when this is also associated with the construction of such modern new buildings, it is an absolute gain for Kitzingen.” He and around 30 other guests attended the ceremonial handover and were exclusively guided through the new warehouses by Gazmend Misimi (Project Manager Scannell) and Christian Leibold (Management Tyremotive). “Today is another milestone for Tyremotive. With the move into this new, state-of-the-art warehouse, expanding our product range will be no problem. We have the most modern automated technology here, which allows us to guarantee same-day delivery,” said Leibold.
Another 6,000 m² still available
Jordan Corynen from Scannell Properties commented: “We are very pleased to hand over the new warehouse to Tyremotive. The size of the building removes any obstacles to the company’s expansion plans. At this point, I would especially like to thank the city of Kitzingen for the trusting cooperation. My thanks also go to our partners Colliers Germany, who represented us in the leasing process, and to GOLDBECK, who realized the construction!” Another speculative property developed by Scannell, with an area of 6,000 m², is currently still available for lease in the Kitzingen industrial park.
